Africa’s biggest trade show for the conferencing, events, meetings and incentive industry kicks off in less than a month and exhibitors are gearing up to make an impact at Meetings Africa from 24 to 26 February 2010.
“Meetings Africa is an incredibly powerful tool for exhibitors to network with prospective buyers, grow their business and expose their brands to new audiences, but many fail to make the most of this opportunity and maximise the return on their investment,” says Charles Drewe, industry consultant from Drewe Associates.
Drewe adds that to assist exhibitors to make the most of an event such as Meetings Africa, he will run a two-day workshop that will take place from 4 to 5 February. He will be presenting this workshop alongside Angela James, a seasoned industry professional.
“It is crucial that exhibitors align their exhibitions strategy to their business’ sales and marketing plan. The two-day workshop has been designed to ensure that this event and marketing channel is used to maximum effect, for local and international markets,” he says.
The workshop will focus on the following:
• comprehensive marketing strategy for global markets
• sales and marketing activities that impact on the efficacy of these strategies
• the role of exhibition participation
• tools for successful exhibitions
• networking techniques
• the role of industry bodies and how they can assist business growth.
The workshop will take place in Craighall, Johannesburg and if the possibility exists of further workshops in other areas such as Durban, Cape Town or Port Elizabeth if there are enough participants.
