The first annual Soli Deo Gloria Boutique Hotel’s PCO of the Year competition is being launched in January 2012, and all conference and event organisers are encouraged to enter. And entrance is free.

Nicola Burns, who handles the marketing for the hotel, says, “We know from feedback that gaining recognition through these types of awards both impresses customers, and also acts as recognition of the efforts of colleagues and industry partners.”
 
There is no doubt that the individuals, companies and clients who comprise this vibrant and essential industry are truly world-class operators. Soli Deo Gloria Boutique Hotel encourages these teams and individuals to raise the bar constantly, to innovate and maintain their commitment to achieving excellence. Now in its first year, the Soli Deo Gloria Boutique Hotel PCO of the Year competition has been developed to award such excellence and is a superb opportunity for the industry to come together and celebrate among peers. 
 
Winners will receive coverage in the media at a gala awards event to be held at Soli Deo Gloria Boutique Hotel in early December 2012. The winner of PCO of the Year 2012 will walk away with a R50 000 travel voucher, second place will receive a R25 000 travel voucher, third place a R15 000 travel voucher and fourth to 10th place will each receive R10 000 in travel vouchers. And of course, there are beautiful trophies which the successful entrants will take home on the night.

Targets will be set for the year 2012, and in order to remain in the competition these targets must be met. In order to win the competition these targets must be met or beaten.
