The Minister of Tourism, Marthinus van Schalkwyk, hereby invites nominations of suitably qualified and experienced individuals to become members of the Tourism Empowerment Council of South Africa (TECSA).

The task of the Charter Council is to drive the implementation of the section 9 (1) gazetted Tourism BEE Charter and Scorecard in the endeavour to achieve economic transformation of the tourism sector against the sector targets. Nominations are invited from civil society, tourism businesses –large enterprises and SMMEs, as well as labour.

To nominate a candidate please submit the following documentation:
1.    Covering letter with brief profile of the nominator and the motivation for the appointment of the nominee
2.    CV of the nominee
3.    Letter from the nominee accepting the nomination
4.    Certified copies of ID and qualifications
The closing date for the submission of nominations is the 29 February 2012.
